The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

This one is from the mid-1990s. Not a homebuilt, but a so-called technology demonstrator.
Photo is somewhat hazy, but have clearer ones, if needed

hi giruXX:very_drunk:

That is her! She was designed by Global Aircraft Corporation in co-operation with Mr. Mike Smith of Smith Aircraft Co and first flown 2/1995. Trials were carried out with help from the Embry Riddle Aeronautical University. Accommodation for 4, but during test programme flown as 3-seater. 160hp Lycoming O-320 engine, u/c built from parts/components from a Grumman Cougar, Piper Comanche and Piper Arrow. Largely composite construction. Though u/c was retractable it remained locked during the trials. Roughly the size of a Cherokee Six.
Original registration N941GA as Global GT3. After she was retired the aircraft (w/o engine) was acquired by Travis Ward and re-registered as N702TK Travel Air and received an O-320 again.

Your turn, sir

Thanks Uli.

Don't think we have seen this one before. If so, my search attempts were clumsy.

Actually I did post an L.H.41 - some 11 years ago ! It was, however, the posh later version , much cleaned-up.

It ran for quite a while - nobody guessed it - wouldn't happen these days !

You got it Mike! :very_drunk:

There was another version that seemed to have a cabin area. It appears to have small windows on the sides anyways.

Thank you, Kevin. Staying with the racing theme, here's something that was, perhaps, more elegant than successful.

And similarly, I don't believe that this has appeared here before (which probably will prove to be a cue for lefty to tell me that he used in the last century!).

Indeed it is - and I must be using the same search engine as Kevin. Either that, or this forum's posts don't show up when using the mainstream search engines. Maybe I should just stick with obscure French homebuilt aeroplanes! :banghead:
