GX, I wish you had not said anything! I didn't even notice the tail markings myself.
In this situation, you could have remained quiet and let the others have a go. This is a fun gentleman's game and not a serious competition. So let's have some fun and learn a little something and not worry about guessing every mystery. Hope you understand as we appreciate your obvious aviation knowledge.

May I ask for your indulgence and patience?
I found recently in an old magazine "Ala d'Italia" (a great achievement of the fascist regime) following pic labeled "Triplanino Breda" (mind you not the relatively well known Breda-Pensuti triplane). Could you resort to your immense knowledge and vast bibliography to dig out some more information about it? Thanks in advance....

Le "Lou Riatou" born in Tunesia around 1948. Conceived by Alfred Huc, (President of l'Aéro-club de Mazamet in Tunisia) together with Charles Guiraud and Andre Raynaud.
I think she survives in the hands of La Musée d’Aviation Legère de la Montagne Noire (APPARAT- Association pour la Préservation de la Patrimoine Aéronautique et la Restauration d'Avions Typiques) at Castres-Mazamet. Registration F-WFKR. Engine initially an Aubier-Dunne and then a Poinsard. AFAIK there were plans to fit a Limbach L1700, but have no idea that this actually happened.

Well done, Walter. She is indeed the Huc-Raynaud-Guiraud 'Lou Riatou' of 1948. I don't suppose that you know of a photograph of its predecessor, the 'Coutouli' (F-PAAJ) of 1939? But in any event, over to you.

The 1939 aircraft (F-PAAJ) you mentioned is new to me. Never saw a photo.
I do know of F-WFKH of around 1950 and which I understand was known as the CriCoutou (or Coutou CriCri?) by Messrs. Huc, Saissac and Pellissier (Pellisier?) which reportedly had the wings of a prewar Cri-Cri mated to as new design fuselage(?).
An then F-PAAI (F-WAAI) which I understand was named Coutouli and built by the same Huc, Raynaud and Giraud team. Is this aircraft still in existence in the museum?
New challemnge will follow later today.

The Mitchell Kitalina AFB it is. AFAIK there were plans, by new owner at the time, to fit a more powerful engine and PA-38 Tomahawk wings in a mid-wing configuration. However, could not find out this ever took place. The N5577 registration was cancelled in April 2015 at which time she was in the register as the Deakin AFB.
Please go ahead and surprise us.
