The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

hi Mike :very_drunk:
That was fast! Read somewhere there could be plans to revive the Bo-105 based project (maybe this time with Airbus Heli approval)

Fire ahead after your stinger sank down.

Thanks Walter - another big clue left there !

I was talking about Piper clones all looking the same, but occasionally one had the wing strut lower mounting point in a different location - well here's one where the designer couldn't make his mind up......!

(and, gX, it ain't French :jump: )

Thank you Mike :encouragement:
But we donot really need wing struts, do we?. If I am not mistaken, this aircraft had an interesting career.

hi giruXX:very_drunk:
Bingo!. I think the history was as follows (will appreciate corrections when I am wrong). Started as F-WCDS Secat S.5. in 1946 or 1947. Then came on the F-P homebuilt register as F-PIIC and this registration was cancelled in 1968 at which time is was in the name of M. Guy Senechal (as ST-10?. Returned as F-PTIC, again in name of M Senechal (registration date 6.6.2012).
Could it be that as F-PTIC she has a different engine? (was a 75hp Régnier 4D-2).

'i.e. before the two met and joined'

well, not quite ! Here's a rare photo of the first flight - the cheery pilot is - Henri Olivier ! :mixed-smiley-010: (but Gx is correct..his photo is of the second version with the radiator mods etc.)

Thanks. I could not find a photo of the radiator modded version.

Something for a snowy day-

I see the forum is up to it's tricks again and hiding the photos .. unless it's just so snowy that it is completely obscured.
Over the last few months it's happened several times with pics from Giru and Moses :dizzy:

Not sure about the hidden embedded images Rob. Maybe the hosting site I use does not play well with your setup?

Concerning the photo, the rocky background is not really a clue as the designer is off the beaten path somewhat for aeroplane construction.

I never had this problem (using Firefox)

Could it be a browser problem?

And my Aviafrance woes haven't gone either ! It's a bug, I think, on that site. Every time I do a search, this appears -

'connecting to static.ak.connect.facebook.com' (the search eventually works, after about 30 seconds)

I have never used Facebook nor have it on my PC.

No probs here with Firefox on either site.

Back to the aircraft, the designer is best known for a quirky postwar number.
