The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

I got lucky - that happened to be the picture used as the basis for a drawing of the Mitsubishi that for some reason got stuck in my head.

Time for a blurry shot from elsewhere in the world...

This one is probably even easier - at least to the usual suspects......

By the way, I'm reading a novel where the baddies are flying a float-equipped Storch - did that ever happen???

Yes, definitely. I saw one earlier this year. It was foraging on the margins of the frayère upstream of us. When it spotted me, it flew up and away and, as it did, I could see something dangling from its leg. I assume that it must have snagged a fishing line to which the float was attached. Oh, but maybe you weren't talking about ciconia ciconia .... ?

Yes indeed, from what used to be Yugoslavia - I have little knowledge of the Balkans but I think Belgrade is in Serbia. For the meantime.....

The Jane's of its day called them Rogojarskis, but perhaps z's and j's are interchangeable in Serbo-Croat. I'm not sure that I really care.

Over to the Black Forrest :icon29: (is that in Serbia too ?)

Here is another variant of the eternal summer recreational vehicle – fly-cycle theme

that's a question of transcription: Serbian Cyrillic:Рогожарски СИМ-XII-Х

I am sure that one of the many Serbian forrests will be black, too (at least by night) :bee:

For those who like dark blue and yellow biplanes and donot mind a stagger:adoration:
