The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Mike, I am well aware that some are more conniving than others but I thought your eyes would blur with the grain :icon_lol:

Flymobile. Hi Kevin :salute:
If your name is Curtis Wright and you build (amongst others) a helicopter, you can call it the Curtis Wright CW-2 Flymobile and need not bother about the other aircraft manufacturer named Curtiss-Wright.
Love his twin boom pusher too :jump:

:icon29: For the roadable helo.

Walter- do you have anything on the twin boom CW 21? All I know is the short entry and small photos at Aerofiles.

Walter, it has gone very quiet in here. Don't know about the others, but, speaking for myself, the problem is that there are so many little racers that look pretty well identical to this, apart from the camo.

I've come across something similar, but which has tip tanks. Would it by any chance be the Kahn Piranha, once promoted as a counter-insurgency aircraft ? Can find nothing on the net, and to further confuse matters, there is another COIN Piranha, (Sadler), a twin-boom effort, which is totally different.

We need the full story and I suspect there is only one man who knows it !

(Incidentally, Aerofiles is very blank about the Sadler Piranha/Vampire, but there is a big Wikipedia entry)

Thanks, Walter. Snazzy machine.

Unlike this grainy effort. Sorry, it's a bit obscure - maybe we should get back to less esoteric stuff ? Haven't anything else this evening, and I and my gouty foot are feeling grumpy.........

Is that a fatherland red stripe on the tail or something from Bulgaria possibly? Not much luck so far.

You got it, Kevin. :icon29: And hello Dan_Pub - well done for getting the designation right. The reg was the same for the wheeled version, so presumably they stuck on a pair of floats.....(zwei schwimmern)

Welcome aboard dan_pub. You will note that we have a full service bar here.:icon29:;)

Here is another obscure German I ran across in digging up Lefty's float plane-
