• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Sensing a lack of enthusiasm and interest I think it's time to move on. Our canvas, plywood and wire contraption was the Albatros RE.III

This fellow looks like a Duverne-Saran of 1935 although your pic (though photoshopped) is much better than the one I have (where is the tripod holding up the tail?)....BTW it was equipped with two Chaise 4E (only 40HP each) and only one item was produced....
Cheers

:icon29: for the Duverne-Saran. Over to you sir!
Sidenote: Perhaps I was too quick to judge with the Albatros - hard to get a feel sometimes. Those early Taube's all look identical - I usually let them pass as I personally have little or no hope of identifying them.

Good morning to all of you!
Please ID the following....

A verygood day for you too Wout!:salute:
Yes it is an Ikarus Aero 2 (YU). The interesting fact about this pic is that it is tagged as being the very early prototipe (Aero 2B I believe) fitted with a Gipsy Major engine year being 1940. Pic shot at Panshevo airport.
Now your turn please....

Thank you Baragouin

Next challenge is a neat 2/3-seat light helicopter by a designer/company still in business.

It seems highly unfair to post this challenge. But no clues at this stage.
Please use your imagination (think of it in a nudist colony), use your memory and also vision a honey-sucking little bird (and Messi if you like football).

Hi dan_pub :salute:It is the CH-3 (aka ck-1) but with a fully covered fuselage. Attached photo shows it with registration and also a b/w picture uncovered showing more tail details etc.
The CH-03 was on the forum (in bare form) a couple of weeks ago.

Sorry I caused confusion. With the nudist colony I meant uncovered and memory because it was on not so long ago, the little bird is the Colibrie as dan-pub mentioned and Messi is a soccer player from Argentina.

Since danpub declares OH may I step in?
I don't usually post aircrafts reminiscent of a replica but I liked this one so much that I take the liberty of proposing it to you....
Good luck
