• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Obviously from the USA (those cheap suits and required hats are a giveaway).:icon_lol: A one-off from the early 1930's.

Who knows! The company produced one other design, a low wing monoplane that looked vaguely like a Vultee V-1.

Edit: Here is an ad for the actual engine.

Okay, this is the Michigan TM-5. They also built the Dallas-Breese X which evolved into the Vultee V-1A (same designer).

"TM-5 1930 = 1pChwM; 120hp Dayton Bear. Engine was in a pod mounted atop the cabin. [8409] c/n 1. Reported scrapped and burned 9/3/30, reg cancelled 9/5/30"

Open board please.

Ah, an aggy ! Always welcome. This one a twinny, only not really - the hidden extra Lycoming was only for powering the spray system.. The Distributor Wing DWI-1 from Kansas.

I wonder how many of these were built - Moses? Wout ?

Hot day in Texas, as we are off to the pool with the kids. Here is a large prototype to ponder in the meantime...

The nod goes to DHC2. :icon29:

What looks to be an auxiliary fin on top is actually another plane parked behind.

Dan knew the aircraft but didn't officially spell it out (the accounting dept has guidelines).

And so it should.
I did not give the answer 1st to let everyone enjoy the challenge, and second because I would not have a good challenge of my own to offer in turn, and I'd feel bad torpedoing your offering only to declare open house once more.

The 1st B-32 was a beauty.

Congrats to DHC2pilot.
