• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Your grasp of what we call the 'acrylic' script fills me with awe......:applause:

It is indeed the Praga E.214. My pob runneth over with joy.....:icon29:

Only thing acrylic is my head!

Caproni is a good guess but not one. You are in the right area anyways. Pretty obscure but not painfully obscure as I like to say.

BG on top of one of his own. :icon29:

Wish we could see more of these types modeled for FS, but then finding a blueprint would be a small miracle!

Thanks Moses, that wasn't so easy!
Just for a change a beautiful Flying wing of the early twenties (if you can read the name on her it wouldn't be that difficult)

Excellent photo BG! I believe we are looking at the Akaflieg Berlin B2 of 1923.

That's it Moses!:icon29:
She's a beauty isn't she? built by Akaflieg Berlin in 1922(?) designated B2 but called "Charlotte". Although built in Germany the man behind it was Prof. Herman Winter from Bulgaria(Херман Винтер)

We are all now anxiously waiting for your item....
Cheers
BG

This is the Polish Stepniewski ITS-8 of 1936 - second version with twin tail layout. Hey, it's a twin boom layout!

Hi Kevin :salute:

If it makes you feel better, to-morrow we may have temps nearing 100. If true, this would be one of the hottest days ever in my country. The good thing, it will only last for one day!

All I have is the designation ITS-8W, but who am I to doubt the twin tail boom expert :icon29:
For my next turn, I`ll have another ttb type.
