The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Have to work fast to get in ahead of BG these days.....

Here's an interesting four-seater -
Hi Lefty!
I swear I've seen it before, the long dorsal fin being a very distinctive feature....however my luck is running out as I just can't place it!

Lefty, looking at the exhaust stubs I count six of them - I have not yet found a Walter Micron 6 pott yet! Must keep looking.
Keith

EDIT: It would help if I read things correctly! not Micron, but Minor! Unfortunately Wiki does not show that aircraft in its list of Minor engines - back to the drawing board with a new pair of glasses methinks!

Thanks for the clues!

Another Salon baby. Wonder if those names on the wall are a red herring or not!

In my opinion it is a Dewoitine D480 or D481 with cowled engine: the former was fitted with a Salmson engine and the latter with a Lorraine engine...but of course I could be wrong!
Cheers
BG
PS Congratulations on the Guerchais-Schwander...it wasn't easy!

Well done BG.:very_drunk: This is the D.480 and the only cowled photo I had. All the others were uncowled which made it look like a different airplane.

Over to you-

Well there was a whole raft of manufacturers producing parasol machines in the '20s, and I think I have now looked up all of them with the exception of this one !

Obviously, as usual, I'm looking in the wrong place.......

Team USA just advanced to the knockout stage. :unitedstates: (With a loss to Germany - crazy sport that!)

Off to enjoy a café latte...

Hmmm, 'Reply with Quote' ain't working.........

Well done team USA - the Europeans are having very mixed fortunes in Brazil (we won't mention England - no schadenfreude here.... :untroubled:)

As for your latte, Kevin - it really bugs me that nowadays if you go into a bar/restaurant and ask for a coffee, the kids look at you as though you are a recently-landed Martian.......suppose that's progress.....all I want is some black wet stuff without anything in it - apparently I should ask for an 'Americano'. Bollocks to that. There speaks Grumpy Old Man. (And I thought the USA was the last bastion of civilization.....).

AS for BG's 'easy one' - I am floundering. Anyone ?

Well, I guess no one picked up on the hints "late to the party", "cafe latte". (Extra "t" I know).:biggrin-new:

I found this same photo labeled as a Latecoere 22. Assuming that is correct...

Yes Moses it is indeed the Latecoere 22 well done:icon29:!
Concerning the terrible figure cut by Italy in Brazil I think it is best to cast a pitiful veil over the whole organization (and yet these games have cost to the italian tax payers fivemillion euros as the team well deserved to be pampered........)
Better discuss about aircrafts....
Anyway your turn Moses

Thanks. We take on Belgium next. Probably the end of the road for Team USA. One can hope though.

On to the planes. An Interesting angle on an old friend...
