• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

A glass of the best non-rotten whisky (which you could be kind enough to name ?) for you :ernae: ! A casa 207 it is indeed.

Thank you, &Co - I'll have to save my glass for a later date, as I am on a no-alcohol spell for a month as part of my New Year Resolution.
Will probably have one of my two standard favourite malts, the Macallan, or Highland Park from Orkney. They are both fine whiskies and very drinkable.

Now I know this site has some ground rules about what is suitable to post, and unclothed ladies are a no-no.

Perhaps the Moderators will grant me a wee exemption in the case of this naked specimen!

Looks like a Vickers Type 253 at first glance but the dihedral is on the top wing, not the bottom.

Edit: The tail is pretty distinct. Maybe the Parnall G.4/31?

Well there's nothing like a quickie, as the art mistress said to the gardener.

:icon29: to Texas. Parnall it is.

Thanks for the ale Sir.

How about this sleek twin? I know you all will enjoy the grainy photography...

Spot on & Co! :icon29: Tried to find a better picture but it is a rare bird. Lefty started to sniff it out and then made a u-turn.

This was the last aircraft designed by Liore et Olivier before they merged into SNCASE.

Have at it-

I knew it was German ha! Focke-Wulf Fw 43 or A 43.

Moving along, here is one to enjoy over your coffee and biscuits-

'Tis a Russki. Confusing designations, as ever with Soviet aircraft, but known as a Zavod PS-89 or ZIG-1 ?

Believe me, I have done Coke, ginger beer, tomato juice, orange juice, tonic water (I hate Irn Bru!) and there is nothing, repeat nothing, to take the place of what we call here a 'wee swallie'.

But I am going to stick it out till my four weeks is up (one more to go) and then maybe pour myself a dram. Whatever happens, our units/week are going to be dramatically and permanently reduced - I am determined to get back into that kilt again......

Back to business - here's a big brute which should not pose too many problems

The big brute is a Bernard 81 GR. :france: Sorry about the Irn Bru!

Next up, a streamlined float plane for you all-
