The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Thanks BG - I spent a bit of time poring through my books and various websites, and am totally confused !

Howeever, here's something different - designed as an agplane, didn't make the grade, and ended up in a different role before coming to a sticky end.

An angular biplane...

Hi folks - just to confirm Ferry's Hollandair is correct -:icon29: - ( :mixed-smiley-010: you young whippersnappers are so impetuous !) - and that I haven't a clue about Moses' bipe.

Will be absent for a week - off to Italy - and BG has apparently organised sunny weather in that fair land, so won't be anywhere near any keyboards ! See y'all later.........

Hi Lefty!
Good to know you're off to my fair country! BTW the weather forecasts are unfavourable for the rest of the week but very good for the next one....
Also I have no idea about the angular Aircraft except that it should be US origin....
BG

Have fun Mike.

The biplane first flew in 1931 with a Continental engine. It hung around all through the 1930's and was flown again in 1941 with a Wright whirlwind but crashed. Only one built from a small company. Also, not from the USA...

Even with that locality thrown in I have so far not found it, although it has a certain familiarity.

Towel throwing time for me I'm afraid!
Keith

Doing a direct google of that aircraft found nothing, so very obscure!

Try this monstrosity - somebody loved it no doubt!

I have it as the PZL 30 Zubr, but it appears that it also has that alternative ident.
Too distinctive I fear!
Your turn Walter...:very_drunk:

Seems PZL was the designer, while LWS was the manufacturer.

Anyway, next one; should be easy enough:

The Explorer could carry large items such as canoes, snowscooters, Avid Flyere lightplane and of course could serve as hotelroom .

A nice twin (hope it was not on earlier). Search function gave "no result" for the (name containing letters and numbers)

Could this be a Rankin EX1?.......I can't remember having seen it already though I could be wrong....
BG

I think my reply is invalid! This was already published on May 7th 2013 #8224 and I was the one who solved the mystery!
I suggest you submit one more item Wout...
