The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Yes, BG, it is the Bernard 60T 'colonial monoplane', with Gnome-Rhone motors - one 420hp 'Jupiter' and two 230hp 'Titan'.

Incidentally, another demonstration of Jane's occasional fallibility - in the 1934 edition, this machine (F-AKBV), is wrongly captioned as the Bernard 160, that machine being similar but having three 'Titan Major' 300hp motors.

Over to Italy - :very_drunk:

Thanks Lefty!
Fortunately I cannot afford to buy Jane's!.....
Anyway here's a beautiful floater though in a rather awkward posture...

No takers yet? If nobody comes forward I'll reveal the name by late this afternoon.....(She was built for a specific [failed] crossing)
Cheers
BG

Well I was holding off, BG, as you know, but if there are no other takers, I can't resist a floater! It's a slightly obscure Heinkel, the He 6, which attempted to get to Newfoundland, but only got as far as the Azores, where it, er, ceased to be a floater !

Yes I know Lefty that you were holding off and obviously Heinkel he6 is correct: by the way this is the "B" version with a slightly more powerful Packard engine...
Your turn dear friend
BG

Thanks, BG - and now for something completely different - blow me, it's an aggie ! (any Dutchmen lurking ???)

Hi Mike :encouragement:
I protest. Not lurking but the word is hibernating.
Your aggie is the ZIU (Zirai Ilaçlama Uçagi) from Turkey, a prototype of TAI (Tusas Aerospace Industries).
First flown 26 June 2000, development halted. 600hp Orenda OE-600 (V8) engine.
I have a picture where she is flying to the East instead of the West as in your picture.

You mean this one, Walter ? (altered to deter the unscrupulous image searchers !) :very_drunk: Amstel to you, sir.... (hibernating? It's summer, or so they are telling us)

Thank you Mike, that is the picture. but I got it in B/W. Will probably go back to hibernation as I understand the 2015 Summer in this part of the world lasts till 17.00 to-day. Will consume the Amstel first, however.
Despite the nice colours, this is not an aerobatic job, but an ag-plane.

Picture from another angle. Not a modified Ag-Cat, but possibly influenced by it. Not Europe, Asia, Africa, Australia

Not really, Walter ! Trouble is, my aviation library barely made it into the 21st century, and I suspect this is quite recent - can't dig it up on the net either, though.......Moses, where are you ?????

wow, well i dont know what it is,who built it,nor country of origin,BUT i do know i want one in FSX!!!...yowsers thats cool!! ( im serious too)..

This beauty is the UT-23 Stol Tractor from Brazil. Produced by FABE (Fábrica Brasileira de Aeronaves, Ltda.)
Check the net for more types by the company. First flown 2012ish and that radial upfront is a Russian M-14
OH please :biggrin-new:

After a day searching Aerofiles, and coming to the conclusion it wasn't American, I trawled the net for Brazilian, Argentinian and Canadian ag-planes and got nothing !

They are still asking £400 for a 2012 Jane's, so I think I'll remain ignorant !
