The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Hello boys and girls!
Just back from my holidays on the Adriacoast (Rimini) I'm sure you all want to know what's the last trend on female bathing suits...well the nacked breast fashion is past and gone and they all were robust bras...however the lower part is getting smaller and smaller offering very interesting round views...
Going back to the serious matters I'll be looking with great interest all offers of the past fortnight and for sure I'll find nourishment for my library!
Cheers
BG
Temperatures over there averaging 35 Centigrades during the day in the shade with a bold 28 during the night (have no idea what this is in Fahrenheit)

Something funny, get message saying message should be more than 10 characters!
Will try again later!
Keith

2nd attempt -- Thank you Green, & BG 28° at night is way too hot!
Anyway it accepted this by doing a double edit, so this is the next offering.
Keith

Avro Commodore? If so, presumably one of the two sold in Egypt and then impressed there during WW2 (although wikipedia says that these were transferred to the Egyptian Army Air Force).

Thank you, Keith. Regrettably I'm going to be busy all weekend. So rather than keep people waiting, I think that it's only fair that I should call open house.

I'm having a busy weekend too - tonight watching my favourite band playing in Perth - got a wee shot of them Any guesses ?

You got it - the wondrous Punch Brothers -finest bluegrass band in the world. Mandolin and banjo virtuosity sans pareil.....(the others can play a bit too)

It's a good job this isn't the Ongoing Mystery Band thread. I was going to guess at Jimmy Shand & his Band, rather than Punch Brothers. So it's a good job that I was beaten with the right answer because on googling him, I see that Jimmy Shand died fourteen years ago - which might have presented problems in Perth tonight!

PH, I am touched by the notion that you regard me as a potential Jimmy Shand fan - his statue is a mere two miles from here in his home village of Auchtermuchty. Sadly, I could never abide Scottish country dance music, which I regard as turgid ,Presbyterian and lacking that spark which is so evident in Irish and bluegrass, and indeed Cape Breton music. Even Breton pipers and the amazing Galician Carlos Nunez have more flair than the desperate Scottish droners.....

Enough diversion - now WHAT about the floater ????

Phew, then it's a good job I didn't go with my second guess. Andy Stewart & the White Heather Band! And yes, I know I'm diverting. But only because I can't identify your 'nice easy floater'!

Yes, the fin/rudder shape is a feature of this family - but this was a one-off prototype. Gnome-Rhone engine.

Don't be so negative, dear boy - it hasn't beaten you at all ! The one and only Levasseur PL.11 R3b. (I believe this means 'Reconnaissance, triplace, de bord' ) :very_drunk:

Didn't think I was in the ballpark.

Putting some pants on...
