• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

The Ongoing Mystery Aircraft Thread Part Deux.

Thanks FerryVo an interesting item!
Now that's my rather..."bushy"...item...

BG, sometimes it is worth doing a wee search ('Search Thread') - you will find this baby has popped up a couple of times before !

It might prove more difficult for some who were not on the forum then, so, let's see !

Sorry Lefty I just didn't realize it.....besides can you or somebody else explain in plain English how I can jump into "search thread"?
Thanks
BG

BG, I often forget to search, and post something for the second or third time ! If you look at the top of each forum page, you will find at the right-hand end of the header 'Thread Tools' , 'Search Thread, 'Rate This Thread', and 'Display'. (not quite sure what the last one does)

Click on 'Search Thread' and enter your mystery machine's name in the drop-down box, and all the previous posts referring to it should be listed.

There is of course absolutely no reason why you shouldn't re-post a previous mystery - with 11000+ posts, you would think that the supply of exotic aircraft might have dried up. But then, there are those bottomless Texan and Dutch vaults........

..... and I'd assumed that it was some sort of security device, a sort of helicopter crooklok, so no little toerag could steal your helicopter from your drive!

Hi Dan-Pub!
I think this is the Loening Air Yacht (Model 23) though I wouldn't put my hand on fire as I only have a very small pic for comparison....and thanks Lefty for the information concerning the search thread....I will use it when necessary....
Cheers

Bravo BG. The Loening Air Yacht indeed. I have it as model 1922, but that could be the year rather than the model.

I'd send you a beer but somehow the icons do not show up on my computer anymore.

Anyway, over to you.

The left side of this photo resembles the above - but that's about it.

Ansaldo A.300 of sorts?

Hi Green!
Ansaldo built two limousines one was the A300C (like your post) and the other one (my post) was the A300T.
Anyway your guess is good enough for me therefore please go right ahead!
Cheers
