The OZX Grumman Goose HD Redux Now Released!

This is so sweeeet!:applause: Such a fun aircraft to fly, and texture makeover really makes the difference. The amount of detail is jaw dropping. Thank for your hard work everyone involved bringing us this beauty:medals::medals:. Flight model is also great:engel016:.

Spectacular. Beautiful paints. Thanks to all the team.:jump::applause:

The right prop seems to wobble a bit. Most noticeable inside cockpit and in some planes more than others.

D/L it and installed went to fly it and the engines won't stay running at idle?? any ideas.

I believe that's by design. You need to keep just a bit of positive throttle to keem em' running. Supposed to mimmic real life charachteristics of the P&W engines.

HAPPY 4th!!! :USA-flag:

That is correct Dave, thank you for answering that question before I got to it

Indeed my American brothers and sisters, Happy July 4th!!

Hey all

For those that have brought up the wheel motion/texture issue this is a know problem and arises because for some bizzard reason (bizzard because theres so much wasted UV space on the other texture sheets) the UV mapping for the inside of the tire shares the same texture space with the inside of the front necell housing so basically it was a trade off...either missmatched necell textures in the VC which really stood out for any one using headtracking or missmatch on the inside of the tire on take off landing for a few seconds,i chose the VC over the exterior as i thought more ppl would be in the VC for land based take off/landing

i'll throw up some pic's that hi-light the UV clashing once i get chance to rig up my SATA drive that have all the dev doc on they got pulled an stored after i broke up my gaming/deving rig

Again sorry to say this is an Aces problem with there miss alignment of the props UV map & as both props share the same UV map it was either one or both that had a bit of wobble, btw if you want to use the default aces prop texture that dont show this problem as much just remove or rename the Prop_Goose.dds from each of the Ozx texture folders and the schemes will fallback to using the default textures

Maybe i should have added a know issue section to the PDF to document all the stuff that needed to be fixed but was out of our hands...oh well not to worry ;)

Enjoy
Steve

Pam, Steven and Butch thank you very much for the gift of your stunning work and talent.

I only flew the Goose once before and didn't really dig it but now...well, it's a whole different thing now. I'll be flying this quite a bit.

Thanks again,

This Goose is fantastic, the detail is amazing, right down to the spark plug wires on the engines, but framerate is as good as the default. Thanks guys :ernae:

This is truly a great looking bird. Thank you so much for sharing your work. It's most appreciated. Sadly though, I have severe sound difficulties. Already mentioned previously in this thread I think.

When I start the engines, from inside, the sound is IMMEDIATELY that of high revving engines. Often , this is also true of outside sounds too. As mentioned previously, if I go to full throttle for a few seconds, then sometimes, the sound corrects itself - but only sometimes. Obviously, this is not good.... suppose I'm not ready to takeoff for example?

Even if, after a while things go back to normal, it's then again, only a short time before this starts again.

I so much want to spend time with this. Is it worth me swapping sounds with another aircraft, or anything else?

Many thanks
