The Passion (A Link To The Past??)

Sure,to most people a previous life is totally ridiculous and outright impossible. But some of
us it is at least a thought of wonder and possibilities. I have found myself many times just
going about daily routines without a thought of anything, then all of a sudden a jazzy number
from that era that filled servicemen cantinas plays, or see clothing or vehicles from the
war years. Not just the military side but civilian too. I dont just hear it or see it. It grabs
at me with an overwhelming emotional pull, like something I once knew before. Maybe, just
maybe I had once been there.

...Or perhaps it truly is just a passion. A passion for for the ideal that during a time of great
horror and atrocities,A time where the world came together against a common foe. Brits,
Aussies, Canadians and many others welcomed eachother and joined together. A time where
Americas love for its country, its president and the rest of the world shined the brightest.

One Theory

It has been put forth by those who subscribe to reincarnation / past life regression that more people than ever are experiencing this phenomena because of the huge loss of life within the last century and the subsequent population explosion. Essentially decreasing the "recycle time" for the soul to get back from the great beyond, and become a person again. They say that recycle time is so short now, that these souls return with some "inner knowledge" of it's previous life .

Biological atavism certainly exists. I think it is also referred to as "cellular memory". Basically if your grandfather was good at playing the violin, there is a chance that you would have a propensity for that talent, or learned skill, genetically imparted to you. I don't profess to know the soul is capable of the same atavism, but therewithin lies an explaination of how the physical process works, and it very well could follow the same course spiritually. "E pluribus unim".

Lastly, I put forth something from my own recent musings while talking to a friend.

Energy cannot be destroyed, only transmuted. Everything within this universe, stays within this universe. Black Holes are a misnomer, they go nowhere, and are not holes, lol. I personally do believe that we each have an energy source (soul) that is given up at the time of death. So...

Maybe existentialism is correct. The energy that we call soul, consciousness, or Mind, could be a renewable resource, since to my scientific understanding nothing spontaneously materializes since the Big Bang, and even then one could argue the singularity there was eternally present.

Whatever we are, we exist in this universe. The universe is inescapable by anything. So if life needed to draw on anything to form itself, it is drawn from the inescapable universe, and recollects that soul-energy. And that despite my own disbelief, opens the door to reincarnation on a very technical sense of it.

Perhaps the universe forgets to delete the folder on the C drive before reinstalling us sometimes?

In closing I shared so much of my view because although I dismiss past-life knowledge out of hand as romantic association, I personally had a vivid dream about me being on a beach in World War Two, and hit in the spine by something, then fade to black. Yes it was very very real feeling in every detail, and it woke me up it was so disturbing. I recall it perfectly to this day. Also, I was a soldier in this life, and can relate to exactly what you have said. ~S~
