The plane that won't uninstall

A while back, I downloaded and installed the RCS B-25J from Simviation. I flew it a couple of times and found it wasn't to my liking, so I ran the uninstaller that came with the plane and thought no more of it. That was until yesterday, while choosing a plane to fly, I discovered that the B-25 was still there, even though it's not listed in the aircraft folder in FS9. Even after a complete re-install, it's still there :isadizzy:. I'm dumbfounded. Is there anyone who could suggested what I could do to uninstall this plane, and will this work in case I run into the same problem in the future ?

Thanks

I had this happen once. Look in the APPDATA flight sim files. There's a registry of all the planes in there, and your phantom B-25 could be coming from there. I don't know the how's and why's of it, but that did it for me. It's very strange.

I have a nice payware chopper from FS Heli that for some reason did a duplicate install to the FS main folder. It was also a strange file arrangement with some variations depending on the location of others to alias things to. I ended up making a copy of one full set, then used the uninstaller to clear things out, then I dropped the copy back into aircraft only.

That's another reason to run auto-installers to a temp folder. Every one I run, I put into a permanent "temp" folder, zip the output, then head to the Add/Remove Programs list and uninstall from there if needed. Then I unzip the original files and place them by hand.
