The Power Of Music

Okay....I really need to find something worthwhile to be doing with my day off.

If you are open for suggestions, how about a stand-alone, landable aircraft carrier for FSX ??

The FS2004 carrier, positioned and updated for FSX would be great.

Lili Marleen

What a great tale and also a great song. It was/is a soldier's song and was popular on all sides in the Second World War. That retired Colonel, Colonel Jack Tuler, is quite the hero wearing the Silver Star, Legion of Merit, Distinguished Flying Cross and the Air Medal. Given his location on the Continent following D Day and the P-47 on his cap, I'd guess he was in the 9th USAF.

Here is a short history and the lyrics in both German and English.

Sung in English by Vera Lynn:

Thanks for the link Obio... That was just awesome. As soon as he said he was going to play the German's song, I knew it would be none else than 'Lili Marlene'. A song that become so popular on the battle-field, and even our troops were humming, and singing it's lyrics, in German. An excellent, excellent piece. And What a story!

Thanks!
Joseph
