Almost done

The Salmson 2A2 is almost ready to go. Four slightly different A/C; two American and two French. All I have left to finish is the damage profile development, so in a week or so I'll have a Christmas present to post for the WWI enthusiasts here. :santahat:

Hi all

Here are my first modeling efforts, the WWI French / American Salmson 2A2, a 2 seater reconnaissance plane that played a major part in the last year of the "Great War"

It's not perfect but for a first shot, I think it turned out pretty well. I learned a lot about FSDS 2.24 methods and techniques - some of which I will use next time but didn't know any better at this point. Ah well. It's not perfect but for a first shot, I think it turned out pretty well. I paid attention to a lot of details but I have to say the rigging finally defeated my patience and I didn't get the attach points as detailed as I would have liked. Maybe on a next effort? The Complex cowling was a lot of fun. Ha!

There are 4 slightly different versions. The differences being in equipment; machine guns, generators and pennants.

Not Perfect?

I'm not sure what perfect would look like, but this set looks excellent. A lovely model of an important plane.:applause::applause::applause:

Those detailed Lewis machine guns............:very_drunk::very_drunk::very_drunk: !!!!!!

Looks great!

I have never flown any WW1 aircraft in CFS2. May be I should down load a set of WW1 aircraft and see if I like it better than WW2 aircraft.
