I'm very surprised it's missing only one engine.

After the NTSB get thru with it, she'll be on her way to the scrap yard. And after being in salt water I don't imagine she'll ever fly again.

Yep. They found it a couple of days later. I guess the current had rolled it quite a distance from where it sank.

I live near the Great Sacandaga Lake in upstate NY. It was built in the 30's for flood control but also to release water down the Hudson to keep the salt water from moving too far upriver.

It ticks off the boaters when they feel too much water is sent downriver during the summer recreation months.

I'm pretty sure there's things in the Hudson that would actually thrive on kerosene. Such a refreshing change from the swill they normally drink. :friday:

Reminds me of "Meisterbrau" in Matt Ruff's "Sewer, Gas & Electric", a mutating shark living in the NYC sewers eating everything in front of his jaws. :d
