Just a mention that our Flight server is fully paid up since our bandwidth drive and is ready for use. You'll find it here: www.sim-outhouse.net
Please see the most recent updates in the "Where did the .com name go?" thread. Posts number 16 and 17.
If you are flying in FS9 then AI traffic is automatically disabled, in FSX you will still see your AI traffic but other players on the server will not see your traffic nor you their's if they are also flying in FSX.I used this today and have a couple questions.
1) Should I dial down the AI traffic when I'm on the server?
Weather is as set in your sim unless the server is set to over-ride local WX settings (usually only done for special events). Time is as you set it in your sim.2) I'm assuming WX is real world, as is time. Would this be a correct assumption?
Please DO NOT pause the sim when on the MP server as doing so can block other people from joining. If you need to pause for anything more than a few seconds then disconnect from the server, pause and on return re-connect to the server.3) When I "pause", do I just pause my client, or am I affecting the server environment?
When you join the server you will get a text message with information on the currently installed hop list. It will also tell you which airport the hop list starts from. Move your aircraft to that location to start either by restarting at that location, using the 'Move to airport' menu item or by dragging your plane there in 'Map' view. Once there you will get another message giving directions to get to the next airport (heading, ICAO code and distance). Fly to the designated airport and when you land the server will send a text message with details of the next location. Repeat as necessary. When you want to quit flying for the session the server will remember where you were and give you directions from there the next time you join provided that you use the same sign-in name each time.4) How do you do a hoplist?
