The Stig - Fired

I'm thinking to myself, who actually gives a rat's backside who "The Stig" was? What factor(s) made it so important that the person's real life identity be kept secret?

None of it makes any sense whatever...

Top Gear stopped making sense a long time ago. I remember when it used to be a motoring programme.

Now it's a kiddies' comedy show.

Top Gear started making sense a long time ago. I remember when it used to be a boring motoring program about dull and mundane cars.

Now it's a hysterical comedy show.

The Stig, like Top Gear, is a long-running joke. I also remember the sensible days of Top Gear and don't miss them one bit, so I look forward to the next series and hope the three nutters and their next victim are on their best form! :jump:

I couldn't have said it better!
The best show on the BBC!
These guys are having fun making it, and that reflects on the audience.
OK, Jeremy Clarkson is not very popular in America, understandably, but this program is sold to several (90+) countries world wide!
Something must be right! It definitely gets my thumbs up!

The amazing part is the claimed worldwide viewing audience of this blokey "Non-motor" show: 350 million! :isadizzy:

I didn't know it was that many! Great!!! :jump: They record the program just 30 miles away from me at the
old Dunsfold airodrome! Maybe I could sneek in, or otherwise buy a ticket for one of the shows...

Hammerhead was a little tricky to negotiate.
Actually, finding Hammerhead was a little tricky :isadizzy:

Agressive start by the Stig in the Koenigsegg..

Race072010-09-1113-07-27-78.jpg

Very fast there..

Race072010-09-1113-08-05-28.jpg

Bit of understeer into the Hammerhead..

Race072010-09-1113-08-57-90.jpg

But very clean on the exit..

Race072010-09-1113-09-03-04.jpg

Into Gambon, second to last corner..

Race072010-09-1113-10-11-77.jpg

And across the line!

Race072010-09-1113-10-25-19.jpg

And the time: 1:11.8!

:d

GTR Evolution with default Koenigsegg CCX and Top Gear add-on track.

Sorry Ferry - disqualified on a couple of counts...
The actual Koenigsegg CCX (with Top Gear Wing) time was 1:17.6 so obviously your lap was not in a stock car.
Unless you're really quicker than The Stig, that is...
But most important, not done in Flight Simulator! :)

I think the track might have too much grip and is a bit too short. In GTR2 it's even worse.

Of course I am! ;)
But I don't have to worry about crashing a very expensive car..

Of course not! Fs sucks at driving as much as my race sims do at flying..! :icon_lol:
