I didn´t recieve the email either when i subscribed to their forum. But i tried to login without the email and it worked. Have you tried to login even without the email answer? If not, i recomend try that! :salute::salute:

VR Simulations must be having a nightmare!!!

I try to log onto there forums and it says

"Succesfully Logged in"

And then says I'm not and sends me back to the log-on page!

I have never had issues with their forums except for the other day when it went down. As far as using a laptop for FSX. I still took my joystick and throttle with my even when I was on deployment on the ship. Granted it isn't exactly "mobile" but I have never had any success just using the keyboard to fly aircraft. Something like the bug would definately be impossible without the throttle, cyclic, rudder pedals.

Yeh, i've tried logging in countless times.

I think what's a really poor show is keeping us in the dark - not responding here for one.

I don't know about you guys, but 50 bucks is a BIG deal for me.

I won't knock the product, but I think what's happening with support etc is a real show stopper.

I wonder if they do refunds...

I recommend going over there for support, however, to address a couple things from this thread quickly:

- Animations: Unfortunately in FSX, you need to first disable Key Command Mode (Ctrl-Shift-M) for the Shift-E-2, Shift-E-3, Shift-E-4 animations to work. I could not find this? Also, I have not seen any problems on the VRS forum like I have seen on this forum. Am I not going to the correct forum? I had to get to the FSX stuff through an indirect link.

I don't mean to be nit picky but if you can't figure out how to navigate the forum, what good is it? I would like to download the entire file. I have the bandwidth.

Ian, this aircraft is ready to fly without any problem at all. Once you visit the ACM once you can set your priorities for load and fuel etc. Hit save and you will have the same load out every time you fly. I have barely scratched the surface of the F-18's potential for functionality. The possibilities are tremendous after reading the manual. So far I have jumped in a flown for some carrier ops and general flight around.

It is plain to see that Jon and crew have worked very hard producing this great add on. My all time favorite to date has been the Aerosoft F-16 but that is now seriously in doubt as the Superbug will probably hold that position from now on.

To bad VRS has had so many problems with the first release. My only problem is not seeing the wings or body from the VC and the HUD is off center after the first flight. Seems to be linked to the throttle for some reason. They know about both of these and will fix.

Sorry for the delay in posting, I've been fighting with the SOH forum software to even get logged in...

Please understand that VRS is a very small group and we're working as hard as possible to deal with everything.

Regarding the VRS Forums, I just completed moving them over to their new DNS name (http://forums.vrsimulations.com/forums/) which led to some downtime for about an hour earlier this morning. All should be well now, but do post here and tell me if you're still having issues. (The successful login only to drop back to the login screen should be fixed now. If it's still affecting you, [EDIT: You should no longer have to clear your cookies]. I'm trying to find an actual fix, but clearing cookies should be a functional workaround in the interim. Or use the IP to access the site: http://173.203.109.96/forums/phpBB3/)

Dougal95 - I've e-mailed you directly. Your account has been activated, but the server move ended up eating a lot of forum activation messages. I'm still working through the backlog manually.

Ian - By default the aircraft starts up fully powered. You can select Cold/Dark if you like, but there's no requirement. It's a very faithful and complex representation, so expect something of an initial learning curve, but once over that, there's no reason you can't just start FSX followed immediately by your takeoff roll.

jmig - Are you talking about the SOH forums or the VRS forums? If you're having issues getting to the VRS forums, please let me know.
 
Has the: "An error has been encountered while trying to load a file" been fixed? I waited these two days so they could get it sorted out but I still haven't found anything and I haven't gone past this. Thanks.
