The Supebug HAS been released!

Yes indeed.

If anyone has a spare err.... X52 they don't want...:wiggle::wiggle::wiggle:

I actually got an old X45 doing nothing. If you interested I could put it on ebay for you if you cover the postage.

WOW!

I was kidding of course, but...

I have no idea at all what postage from Aus to the UK would be though.

Any chance you could weigh it for me?

It is a very, very nice addon. I know some are having installation and controller problems, but none of that has affected me (well, I had a throttle problem, but was able to work around it using FSUIPC).

I've noticed a few minor bugs, but nothing beyond what you would expect for a release 1.0. It is a joy to fly, and there is a lot of stuff to learn (fortunately there is good documentation with this one).

I hope they get the install issues sorted soon so they can open their store again. They deserve a success with this one!

I tell you whats going to happen....
Usually if there is even a remote chance or a very small % of users expereince a issue, yup, I will have that issue. I usually cross my fingers and say a prayer during a driver update much less a monster like this. Well this sucker installed like a breeze and other than the missing interior views of the wings I have ZERO issues.
I am willing to BET that if I reinstall this upcoming patch all hell is going to break loose.
If I have a choice I may decide to skip it all together.

JimJam, if the update does cause you issues, please let us know on the forums. (Not quite there yet for the update, but sometime today is our target)

All Hell is Going to Break Loose

JimJam, I really enjoyed you last post. I am essentially in the same position you are. I have been enjoying the Superbug considerably. My only issues are no visible wings from VC and a lock up of joystick controls at times. A restart of the aircraft solves that. Pretty minor stuff. I have had the same concerns about changing things with an update. Judging by the unbelievable support for the VRS F-18E, this is the only way we can get the package right. These guys will help if anything happens, I have confidence in them. Good luck to both of us when the patch arrives.

Yeah if there was a simple edit I could do to get my wing views from the pit I would do that. Later once the patch has been tried and true I would do a reinstall.

After you say that to your girlfriend, the question then is "What girl friend." Ha Ha Those who are waiting for the kinks are really missing something. The patch should iron out most issues. These folks are working their tails off for their customers. Great service!!

Got a quote from the postal services and it comes to 80 AUD (50 GBP) International Express (4 Days). Seems a bit pricey considering what you pay in the UK for postage.
I took it out just to make sure everything works and it does. Chocked a bit on the dust! :icon_lol:
It has been used for about 5 years. So you'll notice it's not brand new. You'll have to decide on the pros and cons.
Anyway you PM if you are interested.

Okay, will PM

What conditions cause the hud pitch ladder to move to one side of the display or the other often to the point of not even being in view?
I have had flights where it moves to one side or the other and I have no pitch ladder. I am assuming its tied the the nav but even if I turn the aircraft it never centers.
Is this a bug or something I am doing wrong?

JimJam, I had this problem in the beginning but for some reason it has ceased to be a problem. I have EZDok and disable global before flying the aircraft. Not sure EZDok is connected but the problem has been mentioned at the forum and is suppose to be corrected in the patch.

Hope they get this out to us this evening.

That is the normal behavior for the HUD in the uncaged mode. The pitch ladder is always tied to the velocity vector. At the point the velocity vector becomes HUD limited, the ladder will slip back to a waterline reference. You can override that behavior by caging the HUD from the NAV master mode with CONTROL-U (in key command mode).
