The Supebug HAS been released!

Patch Released

The patch has been released through the ACM. Download was uneventful and install perfect. My only real problem of seeing the wings from the VC is corrected. More testing tomorrow. I hope you all have a good experience with the install. Mine was perfect. Thanks VRS for a great job and your dedication to your customers.

To clarify, we did release a patch earlier this evening, but pulled it very shortly thereafter as we discovered a critical bug it caused in FSX SP2. We will roll out a new patch tomorrow. (We're literally *this* close)

Pulled Quickly

This is just an example of how hard these guys are trying to make things work. For those with Acceleration, the version I downloaded works perfectly. In fact to celebrate the CAG of the VFA 14 and wing man did a double on the sound barrier.

Adiemu5, my greatest respect for your hard and, when bugs are discovered, thankless work. I hope you will be rewarded with huge success with this plane. I have one question: have the notification e-mails already been sent? There is no hurry, but I pre-ordered and cannot find my receipt anymore so I need the e-mail.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" />

The store is still down until we're absolutely sure the patch has resolve the lack of control issues. Once we're sure, we'll open it back up.

Stickshaker, can you PM me your e-mail address?

Downloading now .... :wiggle:

EDIT2: After some help from the VRS staff, it´s working perfectly!

What's the other .01%?

LOL :d. I had a sneaking suspicion you would post that. It's already one you know about. I like to shut down after a flight.

Engine sounds (actual engine sounds) not going silent in the VC after engine shutdown.

It's not a biggy for me at all, because I know it will be sorted out sometime.

Just a question while I'm posting. Sometimes Pitch Trim works and sometimes not. Is this how it really works in the real F18?

Thanks again for my now favorite FSX Add-on. Anyone who is remotely interested in modern Fighter Jets. This is TOP SHELF Stuff. You will not get any better! It's that good! :applause: :medals: :applause:

Engine Sounds

SirBenn21: I just tested the engine sounds in the VC with a shut off and start up. Seems fine here, the whine of the engines goes to very quiet and the start up returns to where they were on first entry. It must be the difference in the systems that causes this issue. Different sound cards, operating systems, SP2 or Acceleration etc. Must be really tough for them to match everything to all the system differences.

Anyway just wanted to let you know so far I have not found anything not working properly.

Jon and crew will help you I know. Be sure to post the problem over at their forum.

Yeah, we're aware of the "engine sound after engines off" issue, but unfortunately couldn't resolve it in time for the patch.

Like the real aircraft, the SuperBug CAS operates in two modes, PA and UA. (Powered Approach, Up Away) Powered approach is entered when below 240 KIAS, with flaps at HALF or FULL. It is ONLY in this mode that pitch trim can be set. (As in the real aircraft)

Look at that! excellent detail. Thanks for the explanation. I'm still busy going though the 352 page manual.

I knew it

Patched it up late last night and just loaded FSX and the plane.
Dam thing took off full throttle across the tarmac into a building. Reloaded and again the throttles are at full. Went to the menu and verified they are not backwards.
Now when I exited the menu the throttles are at idle but are not working.
I am running the latest free fsuipc,Vista 64 SP2 Accel. Hotas is the Saitek X52 stick, throttle and rudder.

PS Lots and lots of controller info at their site and also a prepatch control gua file to fall back on for those who were not having a issue before. A few more shots in the dark at solving this and I am going to load the old file. Getting to old and grumpy for this.hahah

If you haven't done so already, try purging your controllers in ACM and save. Load the Bug, swipe all your controller axes, quit FSX. Start ACM and check for error messages, then restart FSX, load the Bug and see if it behaves.

I loaded the old .gua then stumbled into the purch controller ect...
Bottom line it works now so once again I am going to leave well enough alone.

While I got you here..... How do you change the bottom map display's range?
I think Ive pressed everthing and cannot get the map to zoom in or out.
Thanks for your reply on the controller. :salute:

Piece of cake bud.
What ya need to do is use PB8 on the HSI. You have four left, top, right and bottom push buttons around the display
PB8 is top middle button. It cycles thru the ranges.

Adiemu5, problem solved! Thanks for your help. Will download the plane shortly.
