The Supebug HAS been released!

Any progress on the throttle issues? Would sure like to purchase this beauty! Hope the store will be up and running before too long.

I’ve got it running now and there is only one word for it: superb. I only have experience in professional simulators, but the Superbug really feels like a fly-by-wire aircraft. And the detail is outstanding.<?xml:namespace prefix = o ns = "urn:schemas-microsoft-com:eek:ffice:eek:ffice" /><o:p></o:p>
I have one slight glitch: the Aircraft Configuration Manager keeps telling me that the left and right toe-brakes are not detected. But they work fine in-game, both with this aircraft and others. So it is more of a false alarm than a problem.<o:p></o:p>
 
I know, this has been killing me for days now, and watching everyone else post about how great it is and giving praise isn't helping my cause :rolleyes: But then again, gives me something to do while I wait. The anticipation is definitely building though, and will be great to finally experience it for ourselves.
 
Can anyone from VR simulations give any idea how long it’s likely to be before the Superbug is available to purchase? It seems to be taking an awful long time to re-issue this model.

They explain why it is shut down both on their front page and in the store itself:

Attention New FSX Customers:
VRS is currently working through a series of controller related issues affecting a number of FSX customers. While these issues seem to be mostly solvable via workarounds, they require extraordinary support efforts. Those support requirements far outweigh our ability to actually get work done in solving the very issues creating them. While we'd love to take your order, we can't until these problems are dealt with. We are finally nearing a final patch to deal with this and expect to be distributing test versions early this week.

We're planning to release a patch tonight that, based on all our testing, should resolve the bulk of the current controller issues. If this goes as planned, and the reports are positive, we may be able to open the store as early as Saturday. No promises, I'm afraid, but we're optimistic.
 
No problems here so far. When I am done pressing all the other buttons,switches and playing with the screens, say in about 3 days, :mix-smi: I will check back in.

BTW- Need to put some Tundra tires on this thing. She is pretty quick but getting in and out of the Bush strips is tricky.
 
I just tried it, but its not open fpr the FSX version unless I'm missing something. Hope it opens later today please,please.............

I am consider myself exclusively a prop guy in FSX and jets are not my cup of tea at all. There are only a small handfull of modern fighter jets that I am interested in, the Mig29, the Su27 and the FA-18. When I saw the superbug from VRS and since the FA-18 is on my list of cool looking modern jets I decided to give it a go.

What can I say except well bloody done to everyone involved in this project. The level of system complexity, the stunning FM, the beautifully detailed manual, the great 3D model and texturing inside and out. Everything about this addon just oozes quality and for me the purchase well worth the money.

I am having immense fun with the VRS Superbug and I haven't even scratched the surface. I decided a long time ago that I would never purchase another FSX addon which consisted of nothing but a Nice 3D model with no substance. I can confirm that the VRS Superbug does not fall into this category. It looks great, flies great and has so much complex systems that I will be very busy getting to know her.

Once very satisfied and happy customer, worth every penny. I have been away from my Superbug for too long now, I'm off outta here :jump:
