The Thorp has been uploaded!

Just a heads up on my part.

Roberts revisions have been through my stringent testing, and passed with flying colors. Which refines even more, the quality and appearance in (what was) an already freeware model. :isadizzy:

Through out this time (and somewhat previously when working on the P-61) I've come to know Robert pretty good. His quality in workmanship (in my eyes) is top notch. Upon my volunteering to be a painter for his model, he has learned a lot of my expectations too. (laughing) Which we butt heads together a few times, but become good friends. We sail a tight ship. That said, trust me, I tried my damnedest to convince him to make this payware! In my eyes, everyone is fortunate to have received this great model as freeware.

So, I took the time today to revisit, update and finalize my "Tiger" scheme (N9675Z) , and the Blue,White striped (N6CM) scheme. Be watching for those coming to the SOH Library. And maybe a few more in the near future :wavey:

I personally look forward to anything Robert decides to model in the future. And if I can get my hands on it in the alpha/beta stages, all the way to release, I'll continue to help him release great quality in workmanship.

Rami contacted me and has deleted the previous textures I noted above. The New & Revised texture sets should be available shortly. For those of you who have downloaded my earlier versions, please delete them and download again.

The update package should be up tonight as well. OleBoy's revised textures are specific to the updated model. :salute:

For those that like armed forces schemes. Work in progress. I still need to do the alphas, and tone down the red and yellow a bit.

The Green one will get put up sometime over the weekend. I decided that it should be separate as it will be in 32 bit format and I wanted to keep the original file size from getting too big. Trying to help the folks that have bandwidth limitations :salute:

I'm liking that retro military paint...:wiggle:

Wonderful update...
Many Thanks :wavey: ? you forgot your green paint :jump:

This is a very nice paint and looks good on her OleBoy. Both old and new one:applause:

Thank you. I'm glad they are liked :)

As a challenge to my patience, I will do this one. Thought it doesn't necessarily make me drool! http://highroad.smugmug.com/keyword/n118hm#792583859_hDCcd

I'm also looking for photos of ZK-KID if anyone knows of any good shots

I've seen that pic before...and always thought to myself that pulling off that checkerboard on the nose would be a tricky thing to do regardless of how I mapped the beast!

I guess OleBoy isn't the only one that dives right into the most complex paints ya could do! :icon_lol:

Before I get started on this I want to be sure no one else has it in the works:

That is one I considered, Ed. Though I have not started it. I guarantee, you better get a case of beer for that one. The nose is going to be a big PITA with the way it's mapped!! You have my respect for the attempt :salute:
