So do I! It was a big deal too! We didn't have DVDs, VHS tapes, or cable TV. When the network showed either movie, we were so excited!!

Its Still being shown..Many times in fact..An American Classic.....my Memory seeing it first was in 1939,As a kid./The Screen opened in a magenta color....However ,as the House crashed on OZ!..and when Dorthy open that door...The COLOR was wonderful.Suddenly THE Great Depression had COLOR,uplifting!..We,and Toto, knew were were not in Kansas no more!...1939 was a Golden Year in Film making....Great diversion from that Depression..Then it happened...The World Turned Upside Down...the rest is history....!!
