A Thomas Cook plane had to be checked thoroughly by engineers on Sunday at Paphos airport after a rat was spotted in the cockpit mid-flight on the journey from Gatwick, reports the Cyprus Mail.
Fears that the rat had chewed through wires on the plane were eased after the check was carried out at Paphos where the flight was grounded for 24 hours. The rodent was not found during the checks however, but the plane made a safe journey back to the UK.

"Rats On A Plane", sounds like a good sequel to "Snakes On A Plane". Maybe Samuel L. Jackson wants to pick up another easy paycheck. :d

I just finished a book called "Where the BUF Fellows Roamed". It's about a B-52 pilots career. One random anecdote in the back mentioned a mouse in the copilots side of the instrument panel. They were up high, so they went on oxygen and depressurized for a lengthy period, figuring they'd starve him of oxygen. They repressurized and he came back. They did it a few more times with the same result. They finally landed and wrote it up. Nothing ever came of it.
