There's Nothing Like Fresh Mesh ...

That looks simply gorgeous! I am simply in awe at your painting skills, manecas. I'm looking forward to collecting a lot of miles in this one!

What a great job you guys and gals did on this aircraft.

Thank you; there are many who have contributed to this one and that makes it even more special for us. Once we get this released, there should be a ton of paint schemes available.

There will be two radial-based models - a Classic edition and an economy business class edition. The textures are just about completed on the Classic and the Business class textures should not be far behind.

Meanwhile, the TP version is awaiting the artists' brushes. The exterior is the same except for the engine treatment, and the interior cabin is also business class. That should make it go quite a bit faster to completion, but the cockpit is quite different so lots of attention to details are required there. Several exterior paint schemes are already done for the TP version.

I will release the radial-based version when completed and the TP version will be a separate release as they cannot reside in the same folder anyway.

WOW! Looks like we'll have a beautiful set of textures to do justice to this fabulous model. :applause:

Hmmm...Nooo smoking?

Think I know where Skipper will have a privy stash of fine stogies...:wiggle:

Been quiet over here for a while...here is a simple (tho' not so simple to paint) but elegant West Coast Air Mallard ca. 1975 livery on-the-shelf for the future release of Mr. Shupe's highly anticipated FS9 Mallard.

Wellis, I love this paint scheme Sir; thank you so much :applause:

Just a status update here folks: Manecas has been very busy with the real world these past 2 months and I have been piddling along with various things to wrap up projects.

He is targeting to wrap up the radial based Mallard textures for the Classic and business variants by the weekend if RW allows and I hope to get a beta release out no earlier than Sunday, April 3rd.

Included will be 3 liveries plus a white base texture as shown in the attached for those of you who like to use this a a basis for your paint schemes. The paint kit should be available around that time or shortly thereafter.

The turboprop variant is the next focus and will require some time yet.

Looks very good, good job guys once again. Is there coming any updates for Aero Commanders?, i was hoping to see native FSX version of planes.

Eurostar350 is revisiting the FSX Native AC520 he released to correct the VC and should be releasing the revised 520 in the near future.

He is also converting the FS9 AC685 I did in concert with Rotohub to an AC690 but that project is further out.

I have no plans to convert any of my Aero Commanders to FSX native as I do not develop for that sim.

I will however release all of my projects' gmax source to anyone who wishes to convert them to FSX native.

In fact I will be releasing all of those projects source this Summer as I slow down my development activities.

EDIT: I should also add that Carenado has an AC500 in final stages of development.

Milton, dear friend; superb progress pics. Excellence and finesse throughout. Regarding your 'winding down' comment - all I can say is the simming Community (and I do mean ALL sims) would be a much the poorer place without your unequalled IMHO; modeling finesse, spirit of generosity, unfailing patience and guidance to others, and for me; companionship of the most AWESOME FISHING BUDDY :)
