Thicko's Gloster Gladiator

Hello,

I seem to recall there was some repaints of Thicko's Gloster Gladiator floating about - apart from the HAF (Greek) versions on Avsim and Flightsim. Am I imagining that, or were they tucked away somewhere else?

Many thanks!

dl

ps - it's all Wombat and Rogers' fault with those GW3 threads ... :173go1: now I've gone off and added yet another FS install ...

Thanks WH and Wombat,

Found all of Morton's repaints - ironically, all of the except the one Wombat previewed here. The two closest are the two Debden (87 and 73) Sqn repaints - and they're lovely. If you don't mind pointing me in the direction of that particular paint, that'd be grand, Wombat.

I'm really digging GW3 again - in fact, my FS1958 install has become my experimentation install (water and sky textures), and as such, getting kind junky - I think I'll collapse the really good addons into my new FS1950 install (a GW3, but with concrete/tarmac).

I have to borrow a line from my other hobby (motorcycling) "sure it costs a bit of money - but it's still less than therapy" ... :)

Manuele Villa did some very nice repaints for this aircraft. Strange enough they are not available in the download library here. However when you do a query on "Gladiator" at Flightsim.com, you will find quite some repaints including those from Manuele.

Cheers,
Huub

Hello Huub,

That's what I did - the only Villa repaints I found were RHAF (Greek) paints, and a few by Barta for Belgium, Finland, etc. I'm just after the one that is featured in Wombat's shot.

thanks,

Off to Philip Island this weekend for some two wheeled therapy DL, Superbike Round 1.
BMW are debuting with Troy Corser as number 1, grid is looking very healthy, 38 starters.
Good excuse to give my 'new' old Gilera a decent run ..........:jump:

Mine is but a humble dual-sport ....

I'm more of a Rally Raide guy than a sportbike guy (got the latter out of my system years ago) ... but I respect anyone skilled enough to ride competitively in any motorbike genre. Indeed, if I had the money to justify another bike, I'd love a Ducati 1000S Sport Paul Smart edition ... retro styling, half fairing, modern kibbles and bits ... yeah, that 'd be fun too! :)

I'm wondering if anyone has gotten the lights to work on the Gladiator model. I've got a lights section in the aircraft.cfg ... but no lighty outsidy. Might be nice on the scary night approaches when operating off the Scapa Flow carrier group ... :)

thanks,

dl
