This is tempting me...

To all,

I'm gonna try to land a Fiseler Fi-156 on this rock. I think I can make it. Has anyone managed to land on this outcropping in Bruno's Malta scenery, off the south coast?

Rami,
If you can't pull it off in a Fi-156 it probably can't be done. :d Let us know how it plays out.

Maybe a Bird-dog could do it. But I'd say it looks long enough. Give it a shot... post a pic if ya pull it off!

Ah, thats the island of Filfla.

Used to be used as a Naval practice target. Dived it once - the sea bed was littered with exploded shell cases, fuses, bits of rockets, and the odd unexploded one. Mavellous !

It'd be difficult to land on in real life - there's not a square foot of level ground on it.

I tried...but it's not a solid object. Ya fall right through it. :crybaby:

just a bit of info, When German paratroopers rescued Mussolini when he was captured the first time they landed a storch on a very small area and then took off again to remove him.

If my memory serves me.....the Storch could use only about 30 yards to land. and 75 yards to take off

any High school Football field will do.
