i live on the 4th floor of my building. as i was cleaning the windows, i looked down to see a guy take a wallet from someone's car, remove the $$ and put the wallet under the windshield wiper. i hollered down to him "HEY!!!! I'M WATCHING YOU!!!" and knowing there was nothing i could really do, he ignored me and rode away on his bicycle. he didn't even look up! he did this in broad daylight, just as bold as can be. no one else took any notice of him.
times like that i wish i still had my blow-dart gun. :angryfir:

I was thinking of something with a little more "punch" to it; say perhaps a high-powered sniper rifle......

Frigging scum bag thief..........

AGREED!

I was going into a grocery store a few months back and this guy comes running out after stealing something. I could hear them yelling at him and saw him running towards my car. Well I happen to be in the perfect position to clothesline his butt as he tried to run by, LOL. Was a good feeling!

A couple of years ago, the daughter of my elderly next door neighbour parked her car outside her mum's house. I saw a young lad on a bike circling around the car looking into it, he had a stone in one of his hands. I thought he was acting suspiciously, so I grabbed my camera, pointed it at the lad and shouted out, "smile". He obligingly turned round and I took a photograph of him, complete with his hand, clutching the stone, raised ready to break the car window. He rode off a high speed.

The daughter had stupidly left her purse and house keys on the passenger seat. She was embarrassed, but grateful and called the police. The police took a copy of the photograph and the would be thief recognised as a known offender. He wasn't prosecuted as he hadn't actually committed a crime. I was supposed to have waited until he had smashed the car window.

...The part I don't understand why persons leave valuables in plain sight when leaving their cars. Such as wallets, loose cash, computers, jewelry, etc. Doesn't makes sense. For sure,...some miscreant type will bust a window,...no matter how small the reward to him may be.

I once left the keys to my car in the ignition, doors unlocked....the car sat in that condition for 2 or three hours in a large, busy parking lot...and no one stole my car....which really upset me as I hated that car and would not have minded if someone took it for a joy ride and trashed it. I guess a 1987 Chevy Celebrity station wagon with more rust than solid metal just wasn't worth stealing.

Welcome to the 'new world order', everyone wants something for nothing, so they steal it instead of working for it.

When I was a kid, we had 2 cars in the family because my dad worked in an iffy part of town and used to drive an old rusted Pontiac to work. It was never stolen or even broken into. guess the would be thieves felt sorry for him.

well, i only say the blow-dart gun because to be honest, i just don't have what it takes to cap somebody, even if they deserve it. (unless i'm defending family) but still, that was such a scum thing to do, take that $$ with all confidence as if he had some right to it.

That's okay cheezy ... a dart gun with the proper dart would have taken care of the situation.

Just make sure that you don't inhale too strongly before exhaling the dart. :bump:

reminds me of the time elmer fudd was dressed as some kind of aborigine and when he put the poison ball into the blow gun, bugs bunny snuck up behind him and clapped him on the back, making him inhale the ball and turn green. :icon_lol:
