Despite some "distractions" I have managed to make some more progress. In this pic there is some specular shine on the dash & the headset, and he's sporting a new shirt.

Looks great..is this a freeware or payware project?
A T-18 was one of the first homebuilt aircaft I really lusted after after seeing the one below over 30 years ago. It was one of the first alloy homebuilt aircraft in NZ and its still going strong

Over the years it has bounced back & forth in terms of how I would release it. In the end I determined that the money I would get selling it would not be worth all of the time I would end up spending dealing with assorted "issues".
It's going to be freeware. It's modeled from the 3rd Thorp my Dad has built that we now fly. I grew up with the design. I have at least 10 years of time off & on creating this model, and a number of hours flying the real one (in the passenger seat). I am pondering whether or not setting up a way to receive donations would even be worth the effort. In the end for me it has been a labor of love, that has many good memories behind it. I need it to stay that way.
