A new entry has been added to Add-Ons Library, category CFS 2 Aircraft - Other

Description: This is a freeware cfs2 "infamous" Tic Tac UFO that amazed all the Navy pilots. It is rumored
to be manufactured by Lockheed Skunkworks. It is a simple model "just for fun" version with some
animation. It could not have been finished without major help from Andrew Wai. Pilot head
textures by George Lindell (sssmokin). And Alpha for the Alpha UFO sounds. For the sounds to work
you will have to install the Alpha UFO (included in the TicTac folder). I also included the fsds
source file in the tic tac folder in case you wanted to make this fancier.

To check it out, rate it or add comments, visit TICTAC-UAP
The comments you make there will appear in the posts below.

Here's some new screenshots. I suck at screenshots.

Thanks for this. :applause:
I added a head-up display and modded the aircraft.cfg file, and it flies nicely in FS2004.
The side entrance opens & the gear works. The UFO sound is perfect for the craft.

I fly FS2004 & like these odd craft. :jump:

Wow. Good to know. I stuck the cfs2 P38 gun info in the dp and it is deadly. I also tweaked the aircraft.cfg file and got it sitting better. If you've flown this you'll know it takes awhile for the UFO "engine" to get going in free flight.

This is a great addition for me. At one stage, I had a separate version of FS2004, just for Space. I used Carl Reddin's Space scenery & I found enough spacecraft out there to have a lot of fun (no combat though). I also had the 'Serenity' , from the 'Firefly' series, the UFO & and a couple of others.

Where in the heck did you find the Enterprise?

Yo Mongo;

About a EON ago, at a now defunked "CFS2 rip-off site" called "ABSquad".
- they would steal the work of others, rebrand & upload to their site; generally using auto-installers.Although, in their favour ... I found many "unique" flight models I've not seen anywhere else.

File dates say I d/l it in Sept. 2008
This package includes NCC 1701, 1701A & 1701D.

Contains NO AUTHOR INFO
46 MB unzipped

Has fully customized sound,
"panel" is the main view screen with instruments.
"cockpit" is the main view screen on the bridge.

Dunno how many would want this?
Dunno if I would be allowed to upload this to the SOH archive?
Too large for email but I could send it over Skype or Wormhole to those who want it.

I would love to have the package, but I don't have Skype or Wormhole. BTW, I searched around archive.org (The Wayback machine) and all of the links on the ABSquad archived web pages were dead.

See if you can upload it here to SOH.

Re: Large File Transfer

There are many ways to transfer large files.

Gmail tops out at about 27 MB ... it carries the largest email volume that I know of.

Personally I don't use apps like "Drop Box" etc. ... why?
#1 - I don't like putting their software on my PC & creating an account.
#2 - little or no security in the "cloud"

I would rather use something anonymously, without the installed software.

So I use:

#1 - Skype ... can transfer files up to 300 MB
- A nice bonus past the usual text, voice & video.
YES this is an installed app.

#2 - Then there is "Wormhole" ... my personal favourite.
- no software to install.
- full point to point encryption.
- has 10 GB limit!

The sender uploads the file (or zip, RAR) to the Wormhole site and an access code is generated.
The code can then be emailed to up to 100 recipients.

Is valid for 24 hours ONLY.

100% FREE TO USE

Check it out - d/l speed is good, but variable due to location.
- I recently sent a complete CFS2 basic install to a SOH member in Mexico.
800 MB RAR took about 15-20 minutes to transfer.

- feel free to "test" it by uploading & downloading a file to yourself.
My test was a 950 MB file.
Took only 3 minutes to d/l !
:redfire:

Right now I am a little hesitant about uploading this to SOH.
I am not the Author and there is no Author info in the package.

However it is from a now closed site ... and may be in danger of being "lost to the CFS2 community" forever.
Does that make it OK?

Can any Admins offer some advice?
:wavey:

Got it, Much thanks.
SendGB | Send Large Files | Free file transfer
Also no signup, & also downloads can be valid for many days, even weeks.

I had not heard of Wormhole, & will give it a try.

The Enterprises are CFS2, & I'll give it a try to mod them for FS9. WE do have various versions, and it's always good to see what else is out there.
