Tiltrotor update available at last!!

It might be worth mentioning here that a) change of files is not compulsory, you can use throttle in the usual way using the "old" config. b) it takes about 30 seconds to change the axis assignment in the controller drop-down menu on the sim bar at the top of screen.

It takes about 30seconds to change it back again if you don't like it and just use the keystrokes or mouse the "collectives" in the VC.

I use an old $30 stick and that 30 seconds has transformed the way I fly the Tilt. I can now drop it on a sixpence and park it in a garage. Also, one is not dependent on turboprop spooling anymore to get the power to the rotors. Stock choppers don't have that facility. 30 seconds later I can fly my Tiger Moth with throttle again. Hardly a hardship?

I think Rob's addition of TCL operation is an inspired addition to the FSX experience. But that's just me.:engel016:

It's a great plane, but I have a lot of bugs in VC: in MFD and PFD the swaps standby buttons com and nav are coupled with com1-com2 switch and nav1-nav2 instead standby-active frequencies. The swap com1-com2 button doesn't work: it changes the decimals. Also, I am not able at all to decrement/increment the com and nav freq. I can only increment and decrement the decimals... Also in VC the range button changes the track, not the range... And in PFD, the slip/skid indicator is inverted: it turns to the left while I'm turning right and viceversa..Is anyone else having this issues?

Clicking the buttons seems to depend where around the dials/knobs you press, although it is kind of difficult to tell. I know that I've been able to change frequencies without massive difficulties, but have occasionally had to hunt around for the right clickspot.

I do have some issues with the autopilot buttons though, they seem to toggle between states that actually don't match their position, so out can be on as often as out can be in... I still enjoy flying it, but it certainly has issues.

(Note: I haven't installed the latest patch yet... Too many other things on the go! I've not seen or read anywhere that the patch fixes any of the things I've seen, though.)

I've just the last version, 1.3 and almost all the COM-NAV switches are wrong...
It's a good simulation, they had a good idea working on a new kind of plane, and I think that the flight dynamics are well done, but with all these bugs...I wonder if they are going to fix them.

I like the way it flys now with the new setup, now what do you need to do to for the Alphasim V-22 to work with this file, thanks in advance. Greg

Just be patient and wait until I have "ported" this new VTOL version to the (freeware) addon for Alphasim's V22 Osprey ......

That is, assuming you allready use my current VTOL addon for this V22 (file rcbvca11.zip on e.g. avsim.com)

Rob, I can wait, and I do have the newest file in the v-22 flys great , but its going to be alot better soon.:ernae: Greg
