Time for a " what are you working on "

Devildog,

We're not going to get hit with that, it will miss us to the south. Good luck, buddy! :ernae:

Now it is forcast as 20-30 inches. The longer we go into the storm the higher the snow totals get.

Devildog,

Hehe...Washington may have so much snow it will look "virgin." That's a stretch, eh?

I have been on this Fokker G-1 for some time now, with the VC and Panel files left to finish.

Hey Thicko, I did know you would do one for CFS3, but I didn't know you would do one for CFS2 as well.

RobH was so kind to share his more than excellent paintkit for Bruno's Spitfire Mk.Vb with me. I used this bautiful paintkit to make a few skins which depict aircrafts from 322 "Dutch" squadron.

When real life allows I will finish and upload them.

Cheers,
Huub

I know I keep promising this but I am going to make some serious headway on the Australian radio pack this weekend. I am also going to make an attempt to catch up with some of the guys on Skype so I can get some help. On the bright side, I have actually been flying some missions on the weekends.

Huub Vink,
I agree with Rami. All I can say is: WOW!

Rami,
I'll bet Washington does look like a virgin, if anyone could get out to actually see Washington, DC! We have just over 26 inches on the ground at my house with 8-10 more expected throughout the day, plus drifting from the wind last night during the blizzard portion of the storm. My pine tree in front of our formal living room lost a couple of branches from the weight of the snow. My satellite dishes are covered up. I am going to have to start shoveling in shifts to get the weight off my rear deck. Not worried about the driveway or sidewalks yet, cause no plows will be here probably until tomorrow late or Monday!

I guess I will just have to build CFS2 missions between shoveling. Oh well, a man's gotta do what a man's gotta do. (sipping hot German Tchibo coffee all the while). It is a rough life my friends, a really rough life being snowed in. (What's that honey? Oh, just on the outhouse. Oh, a better idea? mmmm be right there!)

What could be better than shoveling snow and working on CFS2 missions while snowed in and no where to go?

See ya!

Erufle.

Your timing, if you can get that done, will be about perfect. The missions for DoA are about 80-85% complete, and all of the Australian missions are done. If you would like an advanced copy for voice testing purposes, just let me know. :engel016:

Finished, but need packaging Up:

  • 3x 13 AF B-24J (Alpha freeware)
  • 6x 52 FG Spitfire Vc (BSK Spit Vc)
  • 4x 22 BG B-26 (TR B-26B-9)
  • 1x RAAF (fictional), 2x USAAF DC-5 (Pepe's conversion)
  • 1x RAAF (fictional) Avro York (Obio's conversion)
  • RAAF Tocumwal
  • Temora Airfield
  • Cordeaux Airfield
  • North Bourke Airfield
In progress:

  • Cloncurry Airfield
  • Longreach Airfield
Next:

  • MZ Boomerang (RAAF pack)
  • Donationware B-25J (RAAF pack followed by USAAF)
  • RAAF Amberley + satellite airfields
  • A few more 'ferry bases' so you can refuel/overnight when crossing Australia

Have made a fair bit of progress in the past week or so. With a big thanks to Leroy10, I've been able to iron out a few problems I had with the airfields and am at a stage that I'm confident to share them.

The airfields are GSL as per MR's technique and Leroy10's guidance on the coding. I have the tools for the new VTP1 poly technique, but need to learn and understand them before I go down that path.

I'll be alternating between skins and airfields in the future to break things up a bit, so after the next upload, the skin production will slow down a tad.

Cheers,

Pete

Rick's café américain

Are you going to include "Ricks Place"?

Yes Captain there will be a Rick's café to take a beer and listen some groovy music in Casablanca and in all the other sceneries it's a became a chain.

View attachment 29621

I was searching to do the city with more dense blocks and I've (re)discovered the building objects in fssc and also with the recent lighthouses step by a suggestion of Maskrider about the use of it and using the fact the light effects worke with these objects.
For Casablanca I've done some try , the textures are the sky_building serie removed by a berbere casbah style that I'm repainting to do these boxes more in the mood of the north africa,I can do like that some dirty old houses or palaces and all the style of squared berbere mosquee I want, very important in these lanscapes ,they are not detroyable, the planes can't cross them and crash , they have a night texture with light in the windows....,mixed with a gsl they will give the scenery more dense with acceptable fps if they are reasonably spared ,that will be a separate casbah bgl that can be removed if wanted.

Hello Jean Bomber

A bit more variety is great, always wanted to see Tobruk done up for CFS2, might need to get some tips off you at some stage.

Current projects by me:-

SNCASE SE 100 update of CFS1 with skins & DP (SE 105 - 10 cannons plus bombs)
Heinkel He-46 skins
Polikarpov Po-2 Korean War skins
Mustang RAAF Italy skins
Heinkel He-115 skins
Junkers Ju-52 SCW Nationalists skins (back to Aunty Ju by special request) :salute:

Whats everyone else up to ???????????????

... OK, I'll go next ...

Active projects
Aleutians land & waterclass - just a terrain representation more pleasing to the eye - lot more snow on higher ground ...
Aleutians G2K to add coastlines & correct small drawing faults in Rhumbas set - (might take a while that one)
Aleutians airfields - runways & AFD done, need to put gsl facilities in place
Repaint of Pepe/Pakayan Ventura as a PV-1 (yes, you have the theme by now:jump:)

projects on hold
Sabang G2K - coastlines etc done, OG provided a great port gsl, need to finish landclass etc.
Sumatra G2K - about 50% done, lot's of time still to spend doing rivers, coastlines, land & waterclass
Redo Xaviers EAWWII airfields - needs a complete overhaul, as many airfields share backgrounds, but have different runway & facility layouts
Redo Xaviers Japan airfields - easier than EAWWII, but still a large project
Redo MR Australia airfields - need to redo a (less green) better landclass for Australia first!!!

Ok, I'll bite too...

To all,

I've been working on updates to the Tuskegee Airmen (finished!) and the 486th Fighter Squadron. The latter I have been working on extensively, incorporating (where possible) Ettico's EuroTargets, as well as Achim's airfields, and my own layouts, including GSL ports and the like. Additionally, I've taken a less fictional slant on the missions, using historical airfields and aircraft used.

Lastly, I've also been working on updated mission texts.

Wow,

... yet again. So much activity here - my complements everyone.

The Ju-52 panel is nearing completion and I do emphasize "nearing". I've got one big problem and a number of small ones yet to solve. Here's a pic (engine 1 has just started).

I'm thinking of doing one more panel after this one - somthing classic which is sorely needed. Will make a post when I get there for suggestions. The red lines around Sperry autopilot? I'm working on it!

Thanks to Simonu for his help at every turn,
AC

I've still got the Storch project going. I'm trying to see if I can get more info about these U and P versions so the project will contain as much detail for these birds as I can find. Info is scarce, but I got another scource I'm looking into.:running:
