I'm using the freeware Canada 38m mesh (xalas38.zip), could this be the problem ?
 
FSGlobal 2010. Almost too luxurious. :icon_lol:

I´m not a designer, but maybe you could add something called 'flattening' to your sceneries?
 
My settings are=
Mesh complexity 46
Mesh resolution 19m
Texture resolution 1m
Scenery complexity=very dence
land detail texture checked
Texture Max Load= 4096 in FSX cfg
Autogen= normal
And I have UTX, and GEX on my sim.
 
Very nice scenery! But I have same problems as Daube.
I'm using UTX, GEX and FSGenesis mesh.
I deactivated the mesh, but same result.

I have no clue on this, I have tried changing my Mesh resolution and complexity and it still looks the same as the picture here???

I think it's because you probably don't have any additionnal mesh for this area.
Since we have addon meshes, which are more precise than default, our terrain does not have the same shape as yours.
 
I forgot to mention that I've additionally Vancouver+ installed. Maybe that causes my problem.

i'm wondering what pilots do in R/L when they have to go somewhere like that. using the default cub, when i put my weight, the weight of a normal sized man, and enough gear for a week (225 + 200 + 150) add to that 50% fuel to go from squamish to tipella and then an empty return trip, the plane is seriously overloaded and i return on fumes. how would you put a hunting party there? say, 2 guys, a guide, and food/gear for a week?

Have you successfully taken off from this airport with your Bird Dog headed down the hill? I tried it with the ski model and couldn't even get the aircraft to move at full throttle. I attributed this to deep snow friction but now, I am wondering if I have a problem with my Bird Dog???

Ironically, I tried the same thing with the A2A Cub and was successful, and it has less power.
