To Owners of the CH Yoke

Hi: I am considering purchase of a yoke...Question: If you have a CH Yoke and a separate throttle, is there any practical use of the built in throttle lever on the yoke? Is it still operable and programmable for, well, something?

Thanks,

You can assign it to anything that can have an axis applied in FS. Things like spoilers, for example. I stopped using mine totally when I got the CH throttle quadrant, because they were always a bit awkward to get to, but that was out of choice rather than necessity.

Yes. I'll give you an example. I like to fly the Ford Tri-Motor, so I have the lever set on top of the CH Yoke assigned to a 3rd engine (Throttle, prop, fuel). I usually remap the Yoke's lever set to the engine on the nose of the Tri-Motor, then have the throttles set on the CH Throttle Quad for the left and right engines. Makes turning while taxiing a bit easier.
