• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

    If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

    Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I am updating the server this morning to the latest CPanel.
I will shut down these forums and do a reboot at 8 AM NY Time
 
Im not sure if its relevent but the server is attempting to buckle under load earlier. At around 5AM CST i got an message saying the server is under to much load. I would check to make sure theres no weird connections before you do that since that would seem to be a typhical sign of a high-bandwidth DDoS attack. I cant seen any good coming out of attempting an update while being DDoS'd but then again im not an expert in that field (my field is GPUs, Games, and Periphials) but i figured i'd report this to you just in case as in my short 3 days here ive gained a great deal of respect for this community as by preserving all the CFS stuff they have theyve preserved a part of my childhood (CFS2 was one of my first 5 PC Games, but thats another story). I suppose due to the time difference that may have just been youre update going on but like i said i wanted to report this.

Exact Message (to my memory) was: The server is currently under too much load, please try again later.
This message was occuring on all tabs.
 
that was me,
5 am security checks daily takes 30-45 minutes
6 am updates and today i did the big update
 
all done for today

note!
I am looking into updating this OS to the latest, maybe tomorrow
