Model Updates

Continuing the model updates ... and Fliger747 is tweaking the FM.

Throttle use opens the butterfly on the supercharger intake, and trim adjusts the wing foils for added down pressure.
 
These pilots were NOT amused as I held them up from their fare-carrying trek. So, I pulled over and toyed with this one during rollout. He was soooo slow. :wiggle:
 
Okay, we have a seat, hubs and lug nuts, a driver with helmet and shoulder straps, and exhaust headers. Waiting for the 2D panel so the VC can be added. Also, a shot in gmax to show the simplicity of the model.
 
That toy is looking convincing there Milton. Don't forget to add flames coming out of the headers :icon_lol:
 
Okay, we finally have the exterior mapped and ready for textures :)

Awaiting the panel to finish the interior.
 
Looks awesome Milton! You think you will release the source files so we can mess around with the slow airbuses in X? :icon_lol: :running: :mixedsmi:

Just got the 2D panel today so I can now work on the VC.

I hope to release this package within 2 weeks, including the gmax source files.

I need a painter who has interest in these dragsters, and I am hoping Scott, Nigel or Gary will come up with some sounds. Still got the exhaust fire thowing effects to work on, and want to trade in my twin radials for a single. I blew these up turning 9800 RPM's in testing. :)

Hoping you don't mind Milton, I've enhanced the sounds to (I feel) a more realistic run down the strip. I'll PM you so you can test.

Yes, but I will leave the option in for those who want the earlier style performance. The dragster is ready excepting the textures. I will release this for beta along with the 427 CI Ford Pinto stock car that is also ready for beta minus the textures. Too much fun with these two cars. :jump:
 
Just went and played for a while and I think you did a darn good job.Maybe a little chassis twist and a bit of torgue steer so its just a tad harder to keep straight,but it's a lot of fun.
 
Thanks ... will look at that. Attached is a basic body texture to improve what you have.Simply unzip the one texture and put it in the texture folder. Overwrite when asked.Thanks
 
Thanks for the dragster paint,I've had the modified since you released it,sure is fun to slide around once you get the hang of it.
