Tornado GR1 in-development

Allthough I really like JF for their products, friendlyness and support, I positively hate them for what they do to my keyboards... The drool is ruining them!!! :biggrin-new:

Here are some pics showing a selection of the payload that will be available, the navigator/WSO position and one of the maneuver flap configurations (third pic down).

The maneuver flap configurations are an interesting feature of the aircraft. Using a rocker switch in the cockpit the pilot can choose to extend the slats and flaps independently of their normal configurations. For example with the wings swept to 45 degrees the pilot can extend the slats to 11 degrees to aid maneuvering.

Larger versions of these pics can be seen here

Looking good Martyn,
really looking forward to this one, certainly looking like it's going to match the standard of the Canberra!

Maybe this was mentioned elsewhere, but will it have JP233 and will it be tacpack enabled? (please...please yes on both!)

Looks unbelievable. An aircraft that has been sorely missed in the simulation world. I hope large tanks will be modelled as well as small ones. Keep up the great work guys

My flexible friend is dithering...

[I mean my Credit Card of course] :mixed-smiley-010:

Please take your time with this lovely bird JF Team. If she's anywhere near the quality of the Canberra, Tristar and Lightning then I'm a very happy customer already.

:applause: Dave.

Yes the JP233 is included:

We hope to release a TacPack expansion sometime after we release the 'base pack'.

Yes the 2250L Hindenburg fuel tanks are included. See my new pic above :encouragement:

Stunning piece of work. What is performance like on that machine? And any idea of when it it planned to be released?

Here are some new pics showing the vast array of lights in the Tornado cockpit, as well as the IFF unit.

We are on the look out for some experienced beta testers to add to our existing testing team. Due to the complexity of this aircraft and its systems we are only looking for people with experience of testing complex aircraft (military jets would be an advantage). Please drop me a PM if you think you fit the bill and have some spare time over the next couple of months.

Apologies for the late reply.

Performance is very good considering the complexity of the aircraft and the level of detail included. We will likely include some options for improving performance on less powerful PCs.

We are aiming for a release within the next few months (but don't hold me to that :encouragement:)

Hi martyn, probably going to be boo'd here for asking this; Is the Prepar3d version going to be Tacpack'd as well as the FSX eventually?

The aircraft will be released for FSX and P3D, so if we were to release a TacPack upgrade it would also be available for both simulators (unless there were any TacPack limitations/issues that prevented us from doing so).
