Touring Diamond Point in a Jeep!

That driveable Jeep ( I think it's part of some FSDG SOH project?) is a lot of fun, I also drove it over the jungle track on the coast of Vella Lavella in the Solomon scenario. The jeep would need some caring about the flight (drive, rather) model though. It doesn't like to climb hills even with modest slopes at all, for example.

Nice video!

Cheers,
Mark

I was bored and wanted to do something, so I was looking at WW2 Jeeps, and saw some Navy gray jeeps.

Never painted a model in my life, and decided to see if I could paint this Jeep Navy gray. Still needs stenciling and minor fixes.

Also attempted to replaced his uniform with a combat uniform.

Used Microsoft paint program. :icon_lol:

Ha! A new paint job and how about some lights?

Shockwave
[lights]
//Types: 1=beacon, 2=strobe, 3=navigation, 4=cockpit, 5=landing
light.0 = 5, 6.6, 1.600, 1.0, fx_shockwave_landing_light_low_old
light.1 = 5, 6.6, -1.600, 1.0, fx_shockwave_landing_light_low_old
light.2 = 3, -5.62, -1.650, -0.360, fx_shockwave_navred_nl
light.3 = 3, -5.62, 1.6500, -0.360, fx_shockwave_navred_nl

Non shockwave just substitute some of the lights from your effects folder.
Use the L key to toggle on or off.

Thanks will have to try the lights setup!

Original Army Jeep from Gary20, plus my repaint as a Navy Jeep (not authentic), and a blue Jeep, which I tried my hand at photoshop adding the globe.

I'm not a repainter by any means, but wanted to take a crack at it. Blue Jeep my second attempt at it.

Wow, lights and repaints for the jeep, thanks! :)
If I had more time then I would try to alter the FDE to give it some jeep-like driving properties.

My buddy has a Hotchkiss (french version of the WW2 Willy's type) with which we had a lot of fun touring through the french wilderness. Good times....View attachment 47017

Had a Willy's Jeep stop in front of my house with engine trouble. It was a beautiful restored Army Jeep. This happened on July 4th, and was used in a parade. Turns out to be carburetor problems.

In the 60's, my friends father had two Willy's pickup trucks. One was blue, the other was green. Similar to this one...
