Track IR 4 with Vista

I was thrilled when I ordered the new DVD. I was not so thrilled when I tried to use my Track IR 4 with CFS3 on my computer with Vista. I have checked and triple checked everything. I installed CFS 3 with the 3.1 patch, downloaded the latest software from Natural Point that was made just for using CFS3 on a CD on a Vista PC, and sat back to set up my views. But nothing! I checked my two other simulators, and they worked w/o problem.

Has anyone else had any problem using the Track IR 4 or 3 with Vista and CFS3? Is anyone else NOT having a problem? Please tell me how you installed it. If I can't get the tracking, I will have to return the DVD and miss out on all the fun. And after having to wait all of this time! Gosh darn! And I did write to the forum at Natural Point, but as of yet have no responses.
Thanks!!:help:

Works fine here in Vista 64 many others are using it too.

Does it work in other sims? If no then you need to fix that first.

If it does, as a test close the TIR app, right click on the TrackIR icon before launching it and choose run as administrator. Try that.

I had exactly this problem but in XP. It was resolved for me by the most recent patch. Unfortunately I don't know why this would be the case and in any case it isn't XP.

Not that this is of any use to you at the moment. Just thought I'd let you know I had a similar problem and that it was eventually solved.

I found the support forum for Natural Point friendly and helpful, btw, so hopefully they will be able to provide some suggestions.

I opened Track IR with "Run as administrator" and it worked!!! Now I just have to wait for my DVD to get back into OFF. Thanks for the assistance.
