• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

TrackIR 5!

Regarding difficulties in setting up Track IR, I use 4 and never had a moment's trouble with it. Installed the software, put the emitter on top of the monitor, the clip on my headphones, pressed the key to centre it, and never had to adjust it once. IL2, FS9 and FSX; all perfect from the word go.

The only related problem I had was the fact that I wear varifocal specs and had to buy a cheap pair of single vision ones, about £9 off the shelf in Tesco.

ooh! Josquin...that's really useful to know, thanks. I have the same problem as others, that silly head movement thing doesn't play well with TIR5. Going to change that now.

I'm still using my old TIR 3 Pro with Vector Expansion. Wouldn't sim fly without it! I won't consider installing a sim that doesn't support TIR. Once you get used to using it, you'll never want to be without it.
