TrackIR

Well you don't have to have the little reflectors at all. Some guy over at the A2A forum for BoBII found his TrackIR insulting, It lit up off of the reflection of his bald head.

But that's my point exactly, with the possible exception of cannonized saints, or Lord Obama himself. There is NO light source emitted from the skull. It had to be coming from another source, merely reflecting off his chrome dome, into Trackir screwing up everything :kilroy:

I went through the same questions and debate last year and finally just took the plunge and got it. I couldn't believe the difference. It was like the day I got my first Sound Blaster sound card and played Red Baron for the first time with sound. It makes an incredible difference in the gameplay. I won't play a flight sim without it now.

I'm like you, I don't like wearing hats or headphones, but the hat seems to work slightly better for me. The clip is a bit jittery although I haven't worked with it to get it tweaked, really. The hat attachment just worked flawlessly for me right out of the box. I use the stock settings and it's great.

Do it. You won't regret it.

I have TrackIr4 pro.

I too think its a wonderful advantage with OFF 2

I don't have a pilots headset nor do I like to wear hats/caps.

The solution for me was to pinch one of my daughters headbands that she uses to keep her mop out of her eyes!

My Track clip pro clamps to one end of the headband so that its mounted on the left side of my head.

I don the headband and hey presto!

I'm off flying!:applause::applause:

GVB

It brings a completely new dimension to any simulator that supports it!

:costumes:

Thank God I'm getting bald on the back of my head.

I don't like hats either and went the visor route. Five bucks att the local WalMart and I was good to go, although Greggy's solution was inventive, too.
