2 weeks ago on my old laptop I worked for days trying to rid myself of a bug I got when I loaned it to a friend and he went to yahoo, then I reformatted and re installed win7, that got rid of it, lol.
Don't know if it would help this time around but I always establish another admin account on W7. I just fixed my kids laptop by deleting the primary account after copying any important files and the malware went away with the account. No other programs would fix the problem and this method has worked several times before. Thanks for the H/U, my processes aren't filled with win32 stuff so I guess I'm good for now.
Thanks for the help, guys, but it has worked it's way into everything and keeps popping back up no matter what we do.
The Missus has decided to trash it and get a new one. ( it's an old $250 HP ).
