There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.
If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.
Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

I wish news organizations would publish things like below. It i almost like they are hoping it will turn toward the oil spill. Give them more sensationalism.
NEW ORLEANS (AP) — A tropical storm slamming into parts of Mexico isn't taking aim at the massive Gulf oil spill — for now — though any system can quickly change course and send cleanup efforts grinding to a halt.

Be careful what you wish for .........
yeah....and they don't get to send reporters down to stand around knee deep in the storm surge with inside out umberellas...
i was just agreeing that it is hot and dry where i'm at....i certainly don't wish for any rain from a tropical storm because that would mean it would have to come ashore on somebody's coast and Texas, Louisiana, Mississippi, Alabama and Florida have had enough of that in the last few years...
What prompted that was we went thru 3 hurricanes about 4 or 5 years ago ................ IN ONE MONTH!
