• There seems to be an uptick in Political comments in recent months. Those of us who are long time members of the site know that Political and Religious content has been banned for years. Nothing has changed. Please leave all political and religious comments out of the forums.

If you recently joined the forums you were not presented with this restriction in the terms of service. This was due to a conversion error when we went from vBulletin to Xenforo. We have updated our terms of service to reflect these corrections.

Please note any post refering to a politician will be considered political even if it is intended to be humor. Our experience is these topics have a way of dividing the forums and causing deep resentment among members. It is a poison to the community. We appreciate compliance with the rules.

TukanFlightsim Ford Trimotor AT5 Released!

As Spook48 shows in his post, I use a Loupedeck in flight simming, and control the Trimotor from its autopilot page. The model must have autopilot functionality for it to work, of course. I wouldn't mind betting someone will have a mod out soon, as they did with the Caribou.
Probably takes the basic keyboard AP: Press 'Z' for AP On & Off, Ctrl H for Heading Hold & Ctrl A for Altitude Hold

You can still add it in a .cfg in MSFS, but the problem is that Marketplace aircraft often encrypt that file.

Experimenting with the fuel system I find that the normal setting is like cross feed in that both wing tanks feed one another but the center tank is not used. Cross feed pipes off position sets all tanks feeding including the center tank. I assume each engine is drawing fuel from it's own wing tank. I have not experimented with the center tank boost position yet.

My understanding of the fuel system.
L and R normal = cross feeds from wing tanks to all engines.
Center reserve on L and R to cross feed pipe off = each tank feeds one engine
Center tank to boost L and R tanks off Center tank feeds all engines.
