Turboprop Idle ?

Charter Member
Turboprop Idle no longer working, even with the prop levers pulled back. I use Thrustmaster Cougar. Works fine with all the aircraft. Any Ideas?

If you mean on start up. Try ctrl F1 then when you have started ctrl F4. Not sure of exact cause of problem bur FSXdoesnt do turboprops well.

This is true. And joysticks that have reverse thrust notch in them doesnt seem to 'sync' with FSX or FSX has a bug with turboprop startups where it will over thrust when starting up. Some Saitek X-52's do this also, especially when setup to have reverse thrust access in the joystick throttle quad.

I agree, FSX has the most difficulties with turboprops. I don't have problems starting reciprocating engines or jet engines, but with some turboprops I must hold the toe brakes during start up and the aircraft will still move forward a little. Very frustrating.
